    The Birthplace of Girl Scouts of the USA founder, Juliette Gordon Low, is one of the three significant landmarks that make up Savannah, Georgia’s Juliette Gordon Low Historic District.

    The early-19th century manor we know as “The Birthplace” was initially built in 1818 for James Moore Wayne, mayor of Savannah, and subsequently sold to the Gordon family.

    The estate is currently owned by the Girl Scouts, operating as a historic house museum and space for organization members to congregate.

    It embodies the achievements of one of the city’s first female entrepreneurs while preserving the history of the significant all-girl movement.
